All Colchester Zoo's pass holders receive as many visits to Colchester Zoo as they like over 1 year for Gold pass holders and 2 years for Platinum pass holders. (Please note a valid pass must be shown at the entrance to receive free entry and that Colchester Zoo is closed on Christmas Day.)
These terms and conditions apply to all Gold and Platinum Pass holders
• A valid Platinum or Gold Pass must be shown in order to enter Colchester Zoo or admission will be charged, which is non refundable.
• Fast track entry is only available on busy days and when no form of payment is required.
• Family and friends cannot be fast tracked or allowed free admission with card holders and must queue and pay for admission.
• A Gold Pass is valid for a full year from date of processing.
• A Platinum Pass is valid for two full years from date of processing.
• Platinum or Gold Passes cannot be used in conjunction with vouchers or any other offer.
• The use of passes at the zoo entrance does not qualify the holder for any promotional offers.
• Platinum or Gold Passes entitle the holder to as many visits as they wish during the period of their validity, subject to the normal terms and conditions of entry.
• Replacement or duplicate cards are charged at £5.00 to cover additional administration and costs. If issued at the same time the £5.00 is a flat fee covering the number of cards required. 24 hours notice is required in order to reissue cards.
• Films, Books, Sweets, Ice Cream, Crisps and other selected discounted items are excluded from the discount offers. Some Zoo shops and catering outlets do close off season.
• Use of your Platinum or Gold passes at other named Zoos is restricted to free admission only.
• You may visit the following zoos free of charge Belfast, Bristol, Chester (1 visit only per year), Dublin, Edinburgh, Highland Wildlife Park, Marwell, Newquay, Living Coasts, Paignton, Rotterdam, Twycross and Topeka Zoo, USA. (NB Copenhagen Zoo is no longer part of the scheme)
• Colchester Zoo is closed on Christmas Day.
• Platinum or Gold Pass holders are subject to the normal conditions of entry.
• Junior Platinum or Gold Pass holders must always be accompanied by an adult.
• The Zoo management reserves the right to refuse entry or discounts if a valid pass is not produced.
• Platinum or Gold Passes cannot be cancelled or any outstanding validity refunded. They are not transferable and remain the property of Colchester Zoo.
• If Colchester Zoo is closed by circumstances beyond its control, pass holders are not entitled to a refund.
• Cards cannot be purchased with Tesco Deals Vouchers.
• Complimentary Platinum Day tickets cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Please keep them safe.
• Colchester Zoo reserves the right to discount the cost of Gold and Platinum Passes without having to refund existing holders.
• The data you supply will only be used for the purpose intended and not passed to any third parties.
Additional terms and conditions for Santa’s Grotto
• Junior Gold Pass holder receives one complimentary visit to Santa’s Grotto during the validity of their Gold Pass. A valid pass must be presented to qualify. Further visits must be made at the prevailing rate. See Christmas leaflet for full terms and conditions.
• Junior Platinum Pass holder receives two complimentary visits to Santa’s Grotto during the validity of their Platinum Card. (One per year) A valid pass must be presented to qualify. Further visits must be made at the prevailing rate. See Christmas leaflet for full terms and conditions.
• A valid Junior Platinum or Gold Pass must be presented to qualify otherwise admission will be charged.
• Out of date Junior Platinum or Gold Passes do not qualify for a present.
• The child’s Platinum or Gold Pass will be punched once the present has been received.
• Adult Platinum or Gold Passes do not qualify for a present from Father Christmas
• Junior Platinum or Gold Pass holders must visit Santa’s Grotto to receive their present. Presents are only available on grotto days.
• The management reserve the right to refuse entry to a Platinum or Gold Card Pass Holder even if the card is valid.
Additional Terms and Conditions for the Colchester Zoo Platinum or Gold Carers Pass.
• The Carer’s Platinum or Gold Pass has to be purchased in the same transaction as a Disabled Adult or a Disabled Child Pass. It is not possible to issue a Carer Pass in a separate transaction as it is only valid when accompanying a Disabled Platinum or Gold Pass holder.
• The Carer’s Platinum or Gold Pass must be valid for the same period as the Disabled Adult or Child, Platinum or Gold Pass.
• The Carer Platinum or Gold Pass can only be used to visit Colchester Zoo with a disabled pass holder. It cannot be used alone.
• Only one Carer’s Platinum or Gold Pass can be purchased per disabled pass.
• The Carer’s pass must be scanned immediately after the disabled pass has been put through. If this does not happen the Carer won’t be able to access the zoo.
• The Carer's Pass is not transferable and can only be used by the person photographed. All other terms and conditions apply to this card.
